1HAVANA TURF NOTES v Mortimer Mahony and Earl Warlden were arrivals from Miami and will remain over for a few days. H. G. Bedwell will leave the entire string he has here for the summer. Olive Sabath struck herself repeatedly in her last engagement, suffering hind leg cuts. Tom Proctor, trainer believes that the track was unsuited to the filly, causing her to slide. Robert S. Shelley, who will serve as racing secretary at Sportsman Park, Cicero, 111., has notified Sidney S. Bender that he has reserved stall room for the meeting for Jess Burks with seven, J. J. Feeney, two; S. Gorbet, sixteen; J. Gass, two; S. F. Gibson, ten; Jack Hayes, 6; Joe Hoskins, three; L. Haymaker, seven; C. E. Lenahan, five; A. Lamoureaux, six; E. Long, three; J. V. Pons, seven; H. C. Rumage, nine; P. Sturm, -eleven; R. Somersby, five, and F. W. Staton, nine. According to word from secretary Shelley, the management will be ready to accept horses the latter part of April and horsemen are advised not to ship there unless they have received a favorable reply from him.
