FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES 4 . : Joseph Keller gave the horse Bunthorne to L. Bremer and he may be used for breeding purposes. He is an eight-year-old son. of Broomstick and Trysting. Mr. Bremer is a local horse enthusiast. Garrett Watts, breeder and owner, who has several horses here in charge of Emerson Davis, arrived this morning from Lexington and will stay for the remainder of the meeting. His filly Transmit, scratched by the stewards for lack of identity, has been qualified for racing here. Nominations for the ,000 added Liam T. MacCosgair Sweepstakes for juveniles and to be run Thursday, closed today with all the best youngsters named. The race will be at three-eighths, and the winner will be crowned champion, of the division. About April 1, trainer N. K. Beal will ship the winter division of the Joseph Leiter stable from here to Churchill Downs. Ten of the Leiter horses, chiefly two-year-olds which wintered at K. N. Gilpins farm in Virginia, .will be transferred to the Louisville track about the same time. A division of the A. Peleteri stable, hi charge of the owner, goes from here to Bowie, while James Everman will race a number at Exposition Park for that local turfman. Jockey Harold Thomas, who injured his right hand while riding Babble in the opening race Friday, . cancelled his mounts Saturday. The two-year-old Marstellar so severely injured himself while in his stall Friday night that it may be necessary to destroy him: He was purchased at a public sale by E. L. Snyder here a week ago.
