TROPICAL PARK TURF NOTES It was a decided shock to the horsemen at Tropical Park, to learn of the death of Mrs. Walter H. Dupee last week. Death was sudden and followed a heart attack. There is an epidemic of mares slipping their foals in Kentucky. A. B. Gallaher has certainly had his share of bad luck in this regard. He reports that seven of the ten I mares on his place have slipped. Johnny Zoeller has arranged to ship his stable direct to Jamaica. Pat Gallaher, who has been acting as agent for the H. C. Hatch stable, has severed his connection with that establishment. Gus Wells, manager of the mutuel department at Tropical Park, was absent from his duties on account of illness. In his absence Bill Faber filled his position.
