WALTER B. JENNINGS DIES OAKLAND, Calif., March 16 Walter B. Jennings, one of the best known trainers on the American turf a decade and more ago, died here today at the age of eighty-five. Besides haying had some of the greatest stars of the turf under his care, Jennings trained the winners of hundreds of races during his long connection with racing. Many of the horses which he raced in his own name were the property of James B. Haggin, who at one time maintained the largest breeding farms in the world.
