SWEEP PAST, away slowly and outrun to the stretch turn, improved her position fast after going to the outside in the closing five-sixteenths and, closing fast under pressure, was up to win in the final strides. TAT, forced wide all the way, took the lead on the outside after reaching the stretch and held on well, but was not good enough. FINGER TIPS, lucky at the start, showed speed, saved much ground and tired in the final drive. DELMA DUNN raced well. RAFFLER CON closed a gap in the stretch. MAVRO began well, but quit in the stretch. PALDOMAR tired. RED SHADOW, ITSO and GENEROLA were away poorly. MAKE BELIEVE dropped out of it early, but responded well in the last half mile and, working his way tip fast, was up to win in the final strides. DR. BILLY, a strong factor from the start and, under steadying restraint until reaching the final three-eighths, came around YARROW quickly and, drawing clear, held on well. YARROW lost much ground, took the lead on the outside and tired in the stretch. PERFECT PLAY forced the early pace under light restraint, was under strong urging after reaching the closing three-eighths and tired in the stretch. BASHFUL BEAU had no mishaps. THE DUKE came out of the race badly lame. BOB KERNAN was outrun. TRUDGEON quit badly after showing speed for three-quarters. PESSIMISTIC was away poorlv. HAROLD JR. showed speed from the start, raced wide, but held on well. ALMADELE was moving up on the inside when impeded by the winner and tired badly in the late stages. CHANTESUTA, away fast, showed speed, but dropped back and closed gamely. BROAD BILL lost ground. SIR 3UICHAEL had no mishaps. GLORITONE, away very slowly and, cut off entering the stretch, could not get up. DURVA, slow to get going and far back for half a mile, finished with a rush. NELL KUHLMAN moved up with a rush, but tired. ANDORA raced well. MY SWEETS quit badly. WILD CHILD, crowded back on the stretch turn, did not recover. DOLLAR PRINCESS showed speed, raced in close quarters on the inside and Whitacre suffered a bruised left foot.
