FAIR GROUNDS TURF NOTES A Pollys Folly, property of J. L. Comiskey of this city, has been turned over to J. D. Mooney to train. Clifford Porter got away this morning with nine horses for Lexington. According to word received here,. Mrs. Olive Curtis, New York sportswoman and owner of a large stable racing here, is rapidly recovering from an operation. Nominations for the ,000 added Inaugural Handicap, to be renewed at Bowie Friday, April 1, opening day of the spring meeting, will be accepted here by Joseph McLennan during the remainder of the week. Entries, however, do not close until March. 29. Horsemen having contracts on apprentices filed with the Louisiana Jockey Club are requested to call for such documents before the close of the meeting. Charles McLennan is looking after their distribution. Apprentices H. Lauch and W. Gover, who suffered minor injuries in track accidents Tuesday, did not accept mounts Wednesday. A carload of the C. V. Whitney and M. I Goldblatt horses will leave Thursday for Churchill Downs.
