I TROPICAL PARK TURF NOTES ; Among the new arrivals were several politicians from Brooklyn, N. Y., who viewed the races from the club house balcony. Included in the party were Luke OReilly, Michael J. Riley and John Hoagland. Jockeys G. Seabo, J. M. Jones, T. Roderick and C. Ralls got in from Cuba and will be seen in action at the meeting. The newspapermen at Tropical Park will be guests of general manager Frank Bruen at a luncheon in the club house Friday. The first special to leave for St. Johns Park will pull out of Miami Friday. Another special leaves Saturday. Secretary Munroe has arranged to receive entries at Tropical Park Friday morning for the opening day races at St Johns. He will entrain for Jacksonville Friday noon, and will be at St. Johns Park Saturday morning. Joe Edwards shipped direct to St Johns Park Thursday and J. Simon Healey leaves Saturday. Harry S. Hart has taken over Bud Fishers Common, Sun Teatime, Le Condor and Norman, and O. F. Woodwards Wave Top, Deerwood and Chilon and will race them at St. Johns Park. Hart reports the arrival at Tolly Youngs farm at Paris, Ky., of two fillies, one by Prince Pal Merry, and another by Saxton Poltira. Kennedy Hill is distributing among the horsemen entry blanks for the stakes to be run at the Woodbine meeting. Hill will be at Tropical Park and St. Johns Park. The stakes include the Toronto Cup, ,000 added; King Edward Gold Cup, ,000 added; William Hendrie Memorial Handicap, ,000 added; Woodstock Plate, ,000 added; Victoria Stakes, ,000, and the Fraser Memorial and Woodbine Steeplechase, ,000 added. Entries to. these events close May 6. Scot Free is reported to have gone lame in his race Tuesday. The stewards had jockey Montgomery on the carpet before. the first race Wednesday, and gaye him a lecture on the listless riding he displayed in some of his races. .
