1 LINCOLN FIELDS NOTES : s M. Clancy, Paul Neal, David Fowler, J. Lane, Woodrdw Wilson Todd and Roscoe Hardesty have been granted licenses to ride. Todd, aged 16, residing at 2717 Fairmount Avenue, Evansville, is employed by J. . M. Reed. Hardesty, 18, of National City, Calif., is employed by Val Crane. The stable of Emil Denemark in its entirety has been transferred from Hawthorne to Lincoln Fields. Trainer Dick L. Watts has thirteen performers in readiness. Charles Bacharach of New Orleans, who races under the nom de course of the Southland Stable, was an arrival and will remain for an extended visit. His stable, numbering twenty-one head, was shipped to Lexington, Ky., from Dade Park to be rested up for the coming Latonia meeting. It is in charge of trainer Johnny Daniels, former jockey. James W. Parrish, Midway, Ky., banker-sportsman, whose racing establishment is looked after by trainer William Crump, has seven home-bred yearlings at his farm. Crump said that the youngsters have been broken, and, in addition to all of them being good lookers, they have given evidence of speed. N L. O. Lee, trainer of J. P. Atkins Pasadena Stable, was a visitor at Lincoln Fields for a short time Monday. He stopped off on his way "from Canada to Tanforan to where he shipped the horses in his charge from Canada Saturday night. The horses C. H. Ferguson brought from Dade Park were: Major Ben, Bettina H Threat, Fastidious and Fireflash, while the T. C. Piatt and Thomas Piatt stable from the same point will race Miss Cameron, Black Nose, Yarnallton, Coast Patrol, Polly Mac, Dominant Miss and Flora Wildair. C. E. Micken registered the Texas-bred Escobella, Perfect Heart, Escomarie and Escobamel, all by Escoba. The five J. J. Troxler campaigned at Hawthorne were transferred to Lincoln Fields. The second and final shipment of Mrs. Payne Whitneys Greentree Stable horses got in from Dade Park. The string J. S. Middleton will race here for his distinguished employer includes Tweeny, Justinian, Surf Board, Absolution, Catwalk, "Girl Graduate, Double Shuffle, Next Call, Soeur Blanche, Scram, Tea Tax, Unswept, Ruckus, Sizzling and Sweet Flag. The good three-year-old filly Butter Beans and Suneur, also a three-year-olds, were registered by J. M. Reed for the Forest Cove Stable. Royal Julian, veteran of many turf battles, is among the horses Lon Johnson has here for W. H. Whitehouse. Johnson also is training Brass Monkey for H. H. Temple. Big Brand, T. H. McCaffreys good threfr-year-old, is ready for his Lincoln Fields engagements. Trainer F. F. Brant breezed the son of Big Blaze three-quarters in 1:15 over the fast Crete course this morning. William Hurley plans to take up and prepare for late fall and winter racing four of the E. R. Bradley horses now at Idle Hour Farm, and the quartet will be shipped here within a few days. Hurley has seventeen at Lincoln Fields. Another jockey joined the ranks of the benedicts when Leo Jones was married Monday to Miss Vernie Galway of New Orleans. The ceremony was at Crown Point, Ind. Jones is a native of New Orleans. W. W. Wright of Nashville and weighing only ninety-four pounds, made his debut in the saddle when he rode Tonow in the fourth race at Lincoln Fields Tuesday. Wright is under contract to R. J. Gilmore. Copies of the first issue of conditions covering the first ten days of the Tanforan meeting, opening September 22, were distributed here Tuesday by Eddie Thomas. J. O. Keene, veteran Kentucky iurfman, has the smallest representation at Lincoln Fields in many years,-with only three horses, all home-breds, to carry his silks. They are Santon, four-year-old; Don Romiro, three-year-old, and Salut dAmour, two-year-old. These racers are trained by J. P. Ebelhardt, who is racing the three-year-old Gift of Roses in his own interest. Of the six horses at Lincoln Fields owned by R. M. Eastman, Chicago sportsman, three of them, Mike Hall, Cathop and Charley 6. are from his good brood mare Clonakilty. Mike Hall, now in his eighth year, was sired by Hourless, as was Charley O., a two-year-old, while Supremus is the sire of Cathop. Trainer Tommy Taylor also has the juveniles Pharahead, Mammy Girl and Belle Monde under his care for Eastman. He also is training Sunfire, Hamilton, Last Second and Wayward Lad for Mrs. E. L. Swikard, another resident of Chicago. Mrs. J. Grossman, Chicago sportswoman, has a nice looking pair of yearlings in addition to five horses of racing age quartered at Lincoln Fields. The yearlings are a chestnut colt by Craigangower Mazda, and a bay filly by Prince Pal Yvonda. Trainer A. T. Walker is in charge of the Grossman string. Age does not worry W. C. and E. W. Reichert, Illinois turfmen, as they are achieving abundant success with My Dandy and Brown Wisdom, both seven years old, while Gormond, another member of their establishment is in his eighth year and he bids fair to-win races ere long. The others in their outfit are Brown Hills, four-year-old; Oaten, also a four-year-old, and Etcetera, a three-year-old. W. F. Hausmans Ridgeview Stock Farm Stable, comprising seven head and in charge of Albert Lewis, and a division of Edward Haughtons stable reached Lincoln Fields from Dade Park Tuesday morning. The remainder of the Haughton string gets in Saturday. Ridgeview is probably the best known of the Hausman racers.
