Despite rumors to the contrary, April the Fifth, winner of the Epsom Derby this year, will start in the St. Leger at Doncaster tomorrow. F. Lane, who rode April the Fifth to his surprise victory in the Derby, will again pilot Tom Walls horse. Other likely starters and their jockeys are: Udaipur, H. Wragg; Dastur, M. Beary; Orwell, R. A. Jones; Beneficial, S. Wragg; Celebrator, A. Burns; Gainslaw, T. Lowery; Gavelkind, R. Perryman; Hesperus, E. C. Elliott; Loaning Dale, J. Childs; Royal Dancer, H. Jellies; Taj Kahra, J. Sirett; Totaig, B. Carslake, Violator, G. Richards; Firdaussi, Fox; Sil-vermere, R. Dick. A jockey has hot been selected for Leighen following the decision to put R. Dick up on Silvermere, while the Count De Rivauds Charancon has been scratched.
