MORE HARLEM TRACK RUMORS The abrupt closing of the Aurora meeting, without the presence of E. F. Carruthers at the directors meeting, where the decision was made, coupled with a rumor that parties unknown were attempting to interest Herbert M. Woolf, of Kansas City, in the old Harlem grounds on the west side of Chicago, furnished much material for speculation in the Windy City Tuesday. Mr. Carruthers is known to have had an option On the Harlem grounds, now a golf course, and for many months made vain efforts to enlist others in his scheme to put Harlem back on the turf map. It is thought that Carruthers is the man who approached Woolf. The latter would not commit himself when interviewed in Kansas City Tuesday,
