EQUIPOISE DUE HERE SOON CICERO, 111., Aug. 14. Racing secretary Joseph McLennan, who is at Saratoga arranging for the shipment of eastern horses to Hawthorne for coming stake events, phoned this morning that Equipoise will leave the Spa five days ahead of his next engagement, which is the Hawthorne Gold Cup, Thursday, August 24. McLennan also stated that he expected to have Pilate and Con Amore for the John C. Schank Memorial Handicap, Saturday, August 26, and that he was confident that six or seven of the best three-year-olds in the East would come on for the Chicago Derby on Saturday, September 2.
