LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS Hawthorne seems to be Jackie Westropes favorite track, judging from the number of winners he has ridden at the Cicero course. Last week the Baker, Mont., boy was astride thirteen successful horses and increased his number of winning mounts for the year to 173. However, numerous as his winners were, he did not take the riding honors for the week, for H. Simmons, with fifteen, was the leader for the six days of racing. Monte Parke since his injury has been losing ground steadily and is now fifth on the list.
