DATES FOR QUEBEC TRACKS Canadian Courses Take Advantage of New Law Permitting One Meet ¬ ing of Fourteen Days MONTREAL Que May 1 Following a meeting of the Province of Quebec Racing Association held in Montreal racing dates for the forthcoming season were decided upon Applications for dates were received from the Connaught Park Jockey Club Back River Jockey Club Mount Royal Montreal Jockey Club Blue Bonnets and the King Edward Park and Amusement Company Inc operating Kings Park ParkThe The Dorval Jockey Club did not apply for dates and it is more than likely that the once popular Lake Shore course which has been a consistent loser for the past few years will remain idle idleWith With the lone exception of the Connaught Park Jockey Club the other associations are taking advantage of the recently enacted law permitting the staging of one meeting of fourteen days Heretofore seven days was the maximum length of a race meeting with a lapse of twentyone days intervening be ¬ fore the staging of another meeting of seven days daysThe The Ottawa club will adhere to the old system conducting both a spring and sum ¬ mer meeting In all the Quebec circuit will embrace daysThe seventy racing days The new season will get under way at Blue Bonnets on June 2 and the closing day of the term is at Connaught Park August 13 The following dates have been set for the Quebec Racing Associations meetings in Quebec for the coming season seasonBlue Blue Bonnets June 2 to June 18 18Ottawa Ottawa June 20 to June 27 27Mount Mount Royal June 29 to July 14 14Kings Kings Park July 20 to August 4 4Ottawa Ottawa August 6 to August 13
