PLAN SECOND RACE BILL VOTE TRENTON N J May 1 Friends of rac ¬ ing and sponsors of the resolution legalizing parimutuel wagering on horse racing which failed by a single vote of passing in the New Jersey State Senate last evening were girding today for another attempt to have the amendment returned to a vote and passed by the upper house Ten of the eleven votes required for passage of the proposition were mustered yesterday when Senator Emerson L Richards sought to have steeple ¬ chase racing and competition among the standardbreds included under the resolution Hope is entertained by advocates of this legislation that a second effort to obtain a favorable vote on the resolution will be suc ¬ cessful Strong factions are known to bo interested in restoring the sport to this state
