DEEBY STILL THRILLS WINN LOUISVILLE Ky May 5 With the same 1 old enthusiasm for his favorite race sixty runnings of which he has seen since he was a barefooted freckledfaced boy in knee breeches Col Matt J Winn stood in the guests reviewing stand as the Derby was run He was visibly aquiver but had no choice May the best horse win has become an axiom with him Despite the thirty years Colonel Winn has spent in making this race an international event he still was pleased to be congratulated and he had an ear for all his well wishers from prince to pauper With the same old democratic good humor Colonel Winn expressed an opinion that the Kentucky Derby would grow in popular favor as long as grass grows and water runs in old Kentucky
