STALL GATE AT BEULAH COLUMBUS Ohio May 5 Announcement was made by the Beulah Park Jockey Club today that a stall starting device would be in use during the May Beulah Park meet ¬ ing for the first time on a halfmile track in Ohio It had not been intended to install a gate until the track is enlarged to one mile for the fall meeting but president Shep ard has arranged with H D Detrick elec ¬ trical engineer of Cincinnati to install one on which he has the patent patentThe The construction is similar to that of the Waite gate After the start of a race it swings off the track through port holes along the inner rail The weight is 3600 pounds The present plan is to use it for all starts startsThe The Beulah Park meeting begins May 12 I
