GOOD AIM, lucky at the start and close to the pace under strong urging, overtook SUN LURE before reaching the stretch and won in a drive. The latter, also away well, drew into a good lead and gave way to the winner. DARK DIANNE, probably much the best and unfortunate at the start, moved up fast and finished with a rush. CAMPAGNA, outrun for three-eighths, saved ground on the stretch turn and outlasted SCYTHE. The latter followed the pace restrained, but was carried wide into the stretch and just failed to get up. MERRY CAROLINE forced the pace and lost ground on the last turn. NYACK, a strong factor from the start, was pinched back midway of the stretch, but finished fast. MOONSAN, in the early lead, carried the others wide into the stretch. The others were outrun. Scratched— 98062 Night Brigade. 101. MARMION, a good distance back to the stretch, closed resolutely and was making up ground. CONTRABAND dropped far out of it early and gained some after a half mile, but was never dangerous.
