I I •• ] ] 1 1 i i 1 NEGOTIATIONS AT LEXINGTON LEXINGTON, Ky., July 4.— Maurice Gal-vin, secretary-treasurer of the American Turf Association, came to Lexington yesterday and conferred with Thomas Piatt, S. S. Yantis and Victor K. Dodge, the committee named to represent holders of Kentucky Association preferred stock, concerning the « stockholders plan to assume control of the Lexington track. No statement as to the outcome of the conference was forthcoming except that progress was made toward an amicable settlement and that another conference would be necessary before action can be started. A second meeting of the holders of preferred stock will be held Thursday night of this week at the Phoenix Hotel for further discussion of the subject, and a second conference between the committee and Mr. Galvin is set for next Monday.
