PAPER MOON, never far back, came gamely through the stretch and, wearing down the leaders, was going away at the finish. BUY STRAIGHT, hustled to the front, drew clear and, hard urged, held on well, but was not good enough. HOME LOAN was close up throughout and held on stubbornly. JUSTA JANE, shuffled back at the start, closed a big gap. YENOOR showed good form. BROWN TWIG tired. COLOR1ST was not a factor. GREAT MASTER tired after starting fast. MIGRATORY, close up from the start, raced with MEETING PLACE in the last half mile and outlasted the latter at the end. MEETING PLACE took a short lead near the stretch and, despite holding on tenaciously, was unable to keep up. MAYVITE, restrainad early, closed fast. TWIDGETS, close up throueout, was unable to reach the leaders in the final -drive. PRECIOUS LITTLE tired after showing early speed. The latter, saved early, held on stubbornly through the stretch. DARK HOPE finished well. BLACK HAND tired. SLAPDASH was pinched back in the first quarter. MUMSIE, taken back of the pace in the run down the back stretch, moved up gamely in the last quarter mile and closed with good energy, though no match for the winner. RIDGEVIEW drew away into a good lead, was rated along in front, but faltered slightly through the closing quarter mile. ARROWSWIFT, under restraint for the first three-quarters, came very wide at the stretch turn and closed determinedly.
