1 FORT ERIE TURF NOTES | t — . . _$ J. H. Wood purchased Chanson Belle and Syncopate from Sam White at private terms and the former raced in the interest of her new owner in Wednesdays opening race. At the conclusion of the meeting here the pair will be shipped to Montreal. Arthur Hullcoat will send three horses to Saratoga, while the remainder will be rested. Hullcoat hopes to add several new performers to his stable while at the Spa course. The Mrs. J. Badame stable will be transferred to Rockingham Park after the current meeting. A draft, however, will remain to compete on Canadian tracks. Johnny Hynes took over his duties as trainer of the C. and C. Stable Wednesday morning. Hayfire, owned by B. A. Langmuir, was destroyed after he broke down badly in his last engagement, which took place a few days ago. Incessant, owned by Dr. Henderson, was also destroyed. A movement is under way by the majority of horsemen racing in Canada to have the express companies pick up and deliver traps which is part of stable equipment upon movement from various tracks in the Dominion. The delivery services being advocated by horsemen is being carried on by the various express companies in the United States.
