FIJIS HANDICAP WORKOUT DETROIT, Mich., July 18.— Fiji had her final long preparation for the Ferndale Handicap this morning when she went a handy mile in 1:41% and pulled up the mile and a furlong in 1:56. The handicap, which will be decided at one mile and a sixteenth, as the feature of Saturdays program, will mark the Detroit debut of the filly that has the Latonia Derby and the Kentucky and Latonia Oaks to her credit. G. Raushs Beau Tod, and Bahamas, other eligibles for the Ferndale. were sent easy miles, Beau Tod running the mile in 1:46 and Bahamas , in 1:48. Black Stockings and Sun Envoy, two eligibles for the two me race to be run as the supporting attraction of Saturdays program, , had useful preparations for that gruelling journey this morning. Black Stockings went a handy mile and one half in 2 : 39 and Sun Envoy covered two miles in 3:42%. . I
