j ARLINGTON PARK NOTES j Jockey Eddie Arcaro resumed riding, after his indisposition Thursday. J. B. Campbell, who will serve as racing secretary at the impending -Narragansett meeting, announced that the jockeys room will be open to all valets qualified for the work. Permission was granted to the trainers of Bluebeard, Glastonbury, Frank Ormont and Grayback, to add blinkers to their equipment for their engagements Saturday. In the first race Friday Wise Ways was allowed to use blinkers, while South Gallant and Race Craft will race without them. Apprentice Dublin Taylor swung into action Friday at Arlington, having firs mounts, the first since July 5 at Latonia. Roy Carruthers was notified by BrowneU Combs that he is shipping three horses from Lexington, Ky., to Arlington; they are due to arrive Monday. Among the riders leaving Saturday night for Saratoga are Wayne W. Wright and A. Robertson. The latter will return to Arlington Park to ride one of the C. V. Whitney entry in the 5,000 Futurity. R. "Sonny Workman is due to arrive here from Rockingham Monday and will report to trainer J. A. Healey. According to present plans of William Hurley, trainer of the western division of the Edward R. Bradley stable, he will load the entire string, including the speedy Black Helen Sunday and entrain for Saratoga. Jockey Jimmy Smith will also leave for the Spa. Trainer Hugh Fontaine, who is handling the W. R. Coe stable, will send part of the string he is racing here to Saratoga Sunday and the shipment will be in charge of Elmo Shropshire. Among the horses he will keep here to campaign during the final week are Bluebeard and others of the juvenile class. Jockey Don Meade was permitted to cancel his mounts for Friday due to a slight indisposition. Palmer Wright, secretary-treasurer of the Ontario Jockey Club, was an arrival from Toronto for a conference with John B. Campbell relative to plans for the fall meeting at Woodbine. Single Stripe, a scheduled starter in the second race Friday, was excused by the stewards, but the cause of his withdrawal was not made known.
