YONKERS HANDICAP TODAY Faireno to Carry 122 Pounds in Empire City Fixture — Ten Named to Start. NEW YORK, N. Y., July 20.— For the Yonkers Handicap, the week-end feature of the Empire City Association, the offering is the Yonkers Handicap, a gollop of one mile and a sixteenth, to which ,500 is added. Of the various nominees ten have accepted the weights. Of these William Woodwards Faireno is at the top, under 122 pounds, and he will have Vicar for a running mate. This one is a lightweight, with only 100 pounds to shoulder. Both have worked well for James Fitzsimmons and should adequately represent the chairman of the Jockey Club. Somebody, winner of the Knickerbocker Handicap for the Maemere Farm Stable and one that has improved considerably, is in under 103 pounds and is undoubtedly a contender. Then there is Mrs. Henry Ug-hettas Deduce, which has been consistently good in his races. Mrs. W. Plunket Stewards American Coaching Club Oaks winner, Lady Reigh, is another of the company, and W. Graham is represented by the sprinter, Coequel. The C. V. Whitney silks will be carried by Halcyon, and J. H. Louchheims Economic is named. This fellow was cut out for a top-notcher, but has rather weak underpinning. He has worked well for his engagement and may be a factor in the running. The others to complete the field are Thomas Proctor II.s Chatmoss and Morton L. Schwartz Identify. Both have a degree of class, and altogether the field is one calculated to make the renewal of the prize an excellent one. A .
