FUI IN FERNDALE HANDICAP Makes First Start at Detroit Today in Feature Race — Sabula Carries Top Weight. •DETROIT, Mich,, July 20.-r-FiJ,i, Young Brothers craek filly, which was the sensation of Kentucky racing, will make her debut in the ,500 added Ferndale Handicap, which tops an eight-race program here .tomorrow. Nine were named this morning for the test over one mile and a sixteenth, with Fred Alger, Jr.s Sabula, winner of the* Royal Oak Handicap last Saturday, assigned the top impost of 115 pounds. That is two more-than King- Brothers Mr. Sponge will carry and xour more than asked of Fiji, which won the Latonia Derby and Oaks and the Kentucky Oaks. - The weights scale- down to ninety-five pounds, which will be the impost Our Count will carry. ...,., Supporting the Ferndale Handicap is a race at two miles for which eight were named. It is the seventh race of the day. Although the track is in bad condition today it will be at its best tomorrow if no rain falls. The first of the eight races go postwar d at 2:15 oclock.
