1 NIAGARA FALLS TURF NOTES t 4 —4 The stables of Dave Garrity and Bill Campbell have been shipped to Hamilton to rest up for the meeting at that point. Jockey N. Foden, however, is on the grounds here and will be seen in action on opening day. S. S. Friedlein, Cuban sportsman, has abandoned his plans to ship to Detroit and will campaign at Stamford Park, and later at Hamilton. Jockey J. Prieto will do the riding for the outfit. Trainer J. H. Smith has taken over the horses of the Riverdale Stable, and the starters from that stable on Saturday will be under his care. R. Robertson shipped nine horses from Montreal. Robertson, who is the father of jockey Alfred Robertson, has the promising apprentice, G Watson, under contract. He also developed R. Watson, and the brothers will be seen in silks throughout the meeting. L. C. Hockenberry of Niagara Falls will see his colors in action for the first time this year when Princess Stola goes to the post on Saturday.
