f OMAHA TURF NOTES o . . 4 Michael Mahoney, who served as one of the stewards at Fair Park during the first meeting at Dallas, and represented the state of Texas at Alamo Downs last winter, is an arrival. Mahoney is here to cover the meeting for the Dallas News. Mickey Fernandez is looking after the W. J. Potter stable until the arrival of Potter. The horses reached here early thi3 week and included Iago, Brilliant Son, Brilliant Pal, Brilliant Duke, Brilliant Baby, Brilliant Queen, Brilliant Belle, Little Reigh, Interest, Polvos Pride and Texas Moon. In the same car with the Potter horses came Kentucky U., Moving Clouda and Gypsie Chief, the property of R. A. Coward. The clever apprentice Lucien Jordan was an arrival. He is connected with the W. J. Potter establishment and was one of the leatiing riders at Alamo Downs. Russell Kastner, under contract to Mickey Fernandez, agent for the Potter stable, is expected to make his debut in the saddle at the coming meeting. According to word reaching here Horace Wade, director of publicity at Alamo Downs sold Montmary, winner of her only start for Wade, to Mrs. Raymond Russells Cactus Stable. Preparations are being made to take care of the large Three Rs Stable due to reach here from San Antonio Friday. Stalls havff been bedded down for the Miss Mary "Russell horses. L. "Lightning" Jones came in from San Antonio and will work for A. C. Russell, trainer of the San Angelo Stable.
