Won driving; second and third the same. i MASKED GAL, away in the first flight, worked her way up to the leaders, was gradually brought to th$ outside in the stretch and, wearing down BROWBEATEN, outlasted her at the finish. BROWBEATEN, iii closest pursuit of INA DEAR, wore, down the latter for command, fought it out courageously, but wasi unable to stave off the winner. CASH BOOK was unable to keep pace early, closed determinedly through the stretch and was up in thq last- couple of strides to take down third place. TWENTY KARAT, never far from the pace, moved up alongside the pacemaker, assumed a slight lead when reaching the stretch and increased it gradually through the last eighth. CRACK FLYER, quickest to begin, was hard hustled all the way and, though continuing stoutly, was unable to keep up in the drive HIGH TORQUE moved around the outside, but bore in nearing the sixteenth post, for which he was disqualified. JESSIE D. M. had good speed, but faltered in the last quarter. FRED ALMY closed with a rush on the outside in the last eighth. ZULU LAD raced evenly. PANA FRANKA was unable to reach ihi leaders. CHARACTER showed good speed, but altered in the last three-sixteenths as if short. HAPPY KNOT quit after displaying good speed for the first half mile. INCANDESCENT was never formidable. HAPPY FLAG, under steadying restraint for the first five-eighths,, moved up fast leaving the back stretch, foughl it out gamely with SUN ERIN through the stretch and outlasted him at the end. SUN ERIN drew clear in the run to the first turn, was steadied along in front and fought .it out gamely with the winner. JACK CHEVIGNY forced the pace for the first half mile and held on well to the finish. CROWDED HOURS moved up fast on the outside down the back stretch, was placed under punishment midway of the far turn, but was unable to keep up. IDLE ALONG, steadied back of the pace for the first half mile, wore down SALUT DAMOUR for the lead and, holding on gamely through the stretch, held FLYING DERE safe. The latter, under reserve until leaving the back stretch, moved up gamely, made a bold bid to reach the leader, but was not good enough. OLD JUDGE worked his way up gradually in the last three-eighths and gained clear sailing on the inside through the stretch. SALUT DAMOUR displayed good speed for the first five-eighths, but tired slightly thereafter. BIG SHOW could never get within striking distance of the leaders. BRIGHT BIRD tired badlv.
