j WHITE COCKADE AND GRANVILLE WORK WELL i j NEW YORK, N. Y., April 1. Two Derby colts in the string that James Fitzsimmons is training at Aqueduct worked well today. Particularly impressive was the mile and a furlong move of Ogden Phipps White Cockade. He ran the distance in 1:56, handily, pulling up in excellent condition. His, fractional time was :47", 1:01, 1:13, 1:26 and 1:42. Seabiscuit attempted to work with him, but refused to extend himself beyond three furlongs. White Cockade was ridden by a stable boy. He had a snug hold on the colt all the way. Granville also galloped one mile and a furlong, his time being 1:59. It also was a handy move, but White Cockade outworked the Belair Stable colt. With Merry Pete at his side, Granville covered the half in :50, six furlongs in 1:15 and the mile and a furlong in 1:59. Two more stables arrived at Aqueduct today, those of William Martin and Robert Shannon. Both came from Miami.
