1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES Lex Wilson tried to obtain the services of jockey Alfred Robertson for Azucar in his Tanforan Stakes engagement, but Robertson was unable to leave here. Charles J. McLennan, racing secretary, called horsemens attention to the closing date for supplementary nominations for the Texas Derby. Supplementary nominations can be made to the 5,000 added event on or before Saturday, April 4, with the payment of a 75 subscription fee and 50 additional to start. Charles Henry, who serves as racing secretary and steward at Long Branch and Duf-ferin Park, will furnish horsemen data re--garding the two meetings and aid them in making arrangements to ship to Toronto. Long Branch opens its meeting June 10, and Dufferin Park gets under way June 20. In addition to Palm Island, Clyde Troutt brought Imperial Maryan, Hueu, Lady Federal and Wild Transit here from New Orleans. C. E. Durnell arrived from Hot Springs with Norman O., Evilo, Harry Richman, Diana S., and Disarray. He took over Way-aloft, which arrived from New Orleans Tuesday. In the same car, P. O. Anderson brought Dancing Boy, Bright Melody, Jack-knife, Auburndale and Furled Flag. James C. Ellis, owner of Dade Park, notified friends that J. Fred Miles and Carl Vosketter would arrive here Thursday and that they expected to remain for the greater part of the meeting. They stopped off at. Hot Springs en route from their home at Owensboro, iKy.
