ANNOUNCE PURSE INCREASE CHARLES TOWN, W. Va., April 1. E. J. Boyle, president and general manager of the Charles Town Jockey Club, announced today that purses will be increased at the thirty-one day meeting to be held May 30 to July 4. There will be four 00 and three 00 purses, except on Wednesdays and Saturdays, when the distribution will be as follows: One 00 handicap, two 00 purses and five 00 purses; programs on those days embracing eight races. There are about one hundred horses here now, and stall applications are being received daily.
