COUNT TEN, placed forwardly in the early racing, rallied strongly to engage the pacemakers approaching the stretch, drew on even terms with the leader when straightened out and withstood a hard drive gamely to get up right at the close. MISS ALINE raced SHEILA K. into submission in the first half mile, saved ground and held on determinedly until the end. BYRDRYE improved her position on the outside and closed with good courage. UNCLE MIKE raced in spots while saving ground all the way. MINE BOY lacked speed and could. hot threaten. SHEILA K. quit after five-eighths. TUMBLING GLASS was done after three-eiehths. NEDS AFFINITY followed in nearest pursuit of J the winner for the first five-eighths, then tired in the last quarter mile. LITTLE DOLL could not better her position in the late stages. MORLUTE was rushed into the lead, had good speed for five-eighths, then tired when caught. CARLESTA raced evenly throughout. BLAKEEN was under stout urging and had no excuses. REBEKAH moved into a short lead, saved ground, but was no match for the winner. ST. MORITZ, badly outrun early, worked his way up r;n the outside and finished gamely. DARK WAR raced forwardly. but could not engage the leaders. CHINESE EMPRESS was taken up at the break and was poorly ridden during the entire running. GRANNYS TRADE could not threaten at any stage of the trip. HERONDAS was away very slowly and had no chance. PHILDlA suffered interference when LITTLE LIE fell back badly leaving the back stretch. PROPH, outrun for the first quarter mile, swung to the outside of the leaders when moving up strongly rearing the stretch and wore MONON LAD down in the closing sixteenth. MONON LAD began quickly, raced COSETTE into defeat and held on gamely in the closing drive. MAESTROM saved ground and finished willingly in the: closing drive. CHANTING raced strongly with the leaders in the first three-eighths, then tired in the final issue. MOSS GAL was away poorly and had no chance, although closing a big gap. GREY SHOT was held safe. JABER, slower than usual to get going, finished with a rush in the last five-sixteenths. BRILLIANT LIGHT began tiring in the last half mile after going along within striking distance of the leaders.
