Dave Christian Wednesday morning purchased the three-year-old Guaranty, at private terms, from Charles Houbre, who acted for Howard Oots. One of the largest stables on the grounds that of J. S. Riley is to get away Wednesday night for Churchill Downs. In this string are Born Happy, Hi-Nelli, Jimmie Cabaniss, Erebus, Baby Stare, Neon, Old Traveller, Oswego Princess, Mamas Choice, Big Clifty, Betty Shaw, Call Money, Walkalong, Charlie I Jr. and Shirley L. Jack Webber has charge of them. Jockey Eugene Burns has secured his contract from E. Drillon and plans to go immediately to Aurora to await the opening there. J. Bainton has added four horses to his stable, all owned by H. Goletz, of Wheaton, 111. Three of the additions are two-year-olds by Bull Doze, while the other is the three-year-old Marvue, bringing Baintons stable up to nine head. They will be shipped to Aurora. The large stable C. E. Durnell has been campaigning here for Mrs. Albert Sabath was shipped Tuesday night to Arlington Downs. Included in the consignment were Impel, Dan Sabath, Harry Richman, Norman O., Evilo, Disarray and Getabout.
