I BOWIE TURF NOTES -J e W. T. Northgrave, who races a string of jumpers on the Canadian circuit, was among the visitors at Bowie Saturday. Jockey Robert Watson came down from his home in Toronto to visit his younger brother, George Watson, who suffered a fall at Bowie while riding Robert Robertsons Reigh Tetrarch a few days ago. The younger Watson is reported to be recovering nicely from the mishap. Jockey J. Westrope departed for New York after fulfilling his engagements on T. B. Martins Balkanese and Steel Cutter, starters in the Kindergarten Stakes and the Southern Maryland Handicap. Jockey E. DeCamillas received the congratulations of his fellow riders upon becoming the proud father of a baby girl, weighing seven and one-half pounds at birth, which , took place Monday evening. The suspensions imposed, on jockeys F. Mauro and E. DeCamillas early in the Bowie meeting will terminate with the opening of the Havre de Grace meeting Monday. Both were placed on the ground for rough riding. Jockey F. Faust arrived from Oaklawn Park and reported to his contract employer, Frank Christmas. Buster Bedwell vanned the entire stable owned by Miss Ethel Hill to Havre de Grace Saturday. A public demonstration of the Charles M. Waite "electrical eye" which will be in use during the meetings at Havre de Grace and Pimlico will be given at the Susquehanna course of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association Sunday. Several out-of-town track operators have signified theii intentions of witnessing the device in action The following stables were transferred from Bowie to Havre de Grace Saturday morning to await the opening of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association meeting beginning Monday. The shipments consisted of J. H. Louchheim, J. D. Spreckels III.. T. F. Swords, H. Horkheimer and W. Elliott. H. G. Bedwell has sent the good race mare Vacillate to the Virginia farm of Cary T. Grayson to be mated to the good stock horse Happy Argo. Vacillate was a winner of many races in the silks of the Savage, Md.. turfman and he feels that she will prove a valuable matron, j
