it CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES 3 Frank Normile was another to check in at Douglas Park. He came with three head. The horses which W. E. Caskey will have in his care were due Saturday from Lexington. There are ten in the consignment, five of them belonging to W. R. Coe. Among the stables which will be in fine fettle for the opening here is the F. L. B. Stable of which Pete Battle is the trainer. Included in this establishment are Flint Shot, Sis Agnes, Miss Melody, Manhattan and Tidewater. Jockey George South is affiliated with this outfit, which has been here several months. Former jockey Willie Crump will race five unnamed two-year-olds for the Audley Farm Stable along with the horses he owns himself and those belonging to various other owners. In the large stable Keene Daingerfield is preparing for the season are the horses Rome Haul, Up to Snuff, Gene Wagers, Free Forester, Hiddenite, Bell Metal, Dulcimer, Lost Laughter, Glint and Miss Patriot. Indications at this time are that there will be no dearth of riding material during the Churchill Downs season. Quite a number of riders already are on hand, having reported to various stables, and many others are expected by the time the meeting opens.
