DISTRACTING, steadied within striking distance of the pacemaker, moved up with a rush to take com-jnand when straightened into the stretch, continued strongly and drew away smartly approaching the finish. EDDIE WRACK, slow to settle into his best stride, came to the outside when bettering his position and finished gamely although unable to threaten the winner. CHILIAD shook off SUN ALLEY after five-eighths, saved ground, but failed to rally when the real test came. TELL IT was unable to improve his position at any stage. SCOTCH PEPPER was never dangerous. LOVELY GIRL dwelt when the break came, trailed her field until leaving the back stretch, moved up fast entering the stretch then, closing with good speed on the outside, wore down the leaders in the closing sixteenth. PATSEY BEGONE was hustled hard to take command, shook off determined efforts by 1JOUVEAU RICHE in the first five-eighths, saved ground, but could not withstand the winners bid. KOUVEAU RICHE broke swiftly, raced in near pursuit of PATSEY BEGONE, rallied to pressure, but was Jiot good enough and was tiring fast at the end. TORITA made a strong effort midway of the turn but was carried extremely wide into the stretch and lost all chances. MISS TWINKLE showed a good effort. NALITA J., going forwardly early, wore PRINCE TURLEY down when straightened into the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. PRINCE TURLEY sprinted into a long lead, saved ground, but stopped fast in the last eighth. CURRANTS was shuffled back soon after the break and could not reach a forward position thereafter. MERRIWEATHER could not improve his position in the late stages. POPO was outrun. BUDDY BOO was done early. OPPOSITION lacked speed. SCINTILLATOR, forced to race wide from the beginning, improved his position steadily and held on courageously in the final drive. BALKANESE, badly messed about in the early racing after being taken up directly after the start, swung very wide into the stretch, but finished gamely under punishment. WHISCENDA had good speed until reaching the stretch, then tired. OVERPLAY was unable to reach a contending position. LITTLE SHAVER labored in the footing and was done after the opening quarter mile. STEEL CUTTER bettered his position steadily when put to a hard drive, saved ground wherever possible and finished gamely. LYNX EYE, badly outrun early, closed a big gap in the last half mile. BRIGHT LIGHT swung around his field to enter contention at the final bend but tired in the last quarter mile. NEW DEAL was rushed off his feet in the first three-quarters and tired when the final test came. CHATMOSS could not engage the leaders. PERADVENTURE was done early. The latter outran his field to the first turn, opened up a long lead when straightened on the back stretch, saved ground and held on stoutly after being overhauled. , COMING BACK, crowded back at the start, went to the outside for racing room and finished stoutly. THE SINGER, caught in a jam going to the first turn, failed to better his position after obtaining clear passage.
