BARONDI moved up steadily on the back stretch and raced gamely to the end. BANKER CONARD was close up from the start. GOLDEN CRYSTAL, in close quarters entering the back stretch, was weakly ridden thereafter, losing much ground and stopped badly in the stretch. EASTER SUN made up some ground as did BUDDY CARLOS.
