TWO MORE NOMINATED j FOR ILLINOIS DERBY AURORA, 111., May 5.— Two more candidates were added to the list for the 2,000 added Illinois Derby, which is to be decided at the Fox Valley Jockey Clubs track here on Friday, May 22, which is the final day of the current nineteen-day meeting at the local course. H. H. Cross, owner of the Tranquillity Farms, forwarded the nominations of Capt. Cal and Songmaker to racing secretary Leigh, bringing the total number of eligi-bles thus far to seven, with many others expected during the next few days. Several of the three-year-olds that performed in the recent Kentucky Derby are expected to be among the candidates for the Illinois Derby, since the value of the stake has been increased ,000 over the 1935 value. It is the opinion of secretary Leigh that the field that will compete for the prize will prove the most representative in the history of the stake.
