STICKEMlP worked his way between the leaders entering the stretch and finished well. POMPEIUS was bothered early, improved his position on the outside and finished well. KAWAGOE closed with a rush from a slow beeinning. NANDI showed early speed, raced MAPLE QUEEN into defeat and then tired. SUN TEATIME was in close quarters all the way. VOLOMITE had no mishaps. The latter, in nearest pursuit of the pace from the start, was placed under pressure turning for home and finished well. PULLMAN was kept forwardly all the way and had no mishaps. WHITE COCKADE broke from outside the stalls, bore out badly going to the first turn, but could not menace the leaders. Overweight — Delphinium, 4 pounds. FIFTH RACE 5-8 MILE.
