I AURORA TURF NOTES I • 8 Al Gaal. trainer of the thoroughbreds that race for E. Hencel, reported that Sundora suffered cuts about th-e legs in the seventh race Saturday and will be inactive for about a week. Chief Bunting, My Lady Love, Sad Sue and Wagwood, the property of the Evergreen Farm, were vanned to Aurora Monday morning. E. H. McMahon accompanied the shipment. Word was received from Cornelio Mojena, clever Cuban rider who won the watch awarded as the prize for the rider scoring the greatest number of victories during the recent Fair Grounds meeting, will arrive at Aurora the latter part of the week. Butch, Game Annie, Upholder, Whistling Boy and Pokeaway are the horses that have besn placed on starter John Morrisseys schooling list during the first two days of racing at the Aurora course. E. Rodriguez, a Cuban rider who rode with much success at Oriental Park during the past winter, made his debut here Monday. He is attached to the stable of H. Torriente. John Corcoran, a top-notch rider of a few years ago, who is now in business in Cicero, III., is a regular visitor at the Aurora course, where he has been renewing acquaintances. A dense fog enveloped the track Tuesday morning and combined with the rough condition of the track workouts were few and far between. A total of fifty-seven apprentices and jockeys have reported to Frank Hawley in the jockey quarters, but not all have been licensed by the Illinois Racing Commission. * — . — . — .
