SICKLE HOUR broke well, was steadied around the first turn, came to the outside of the leader entering the stretch, moved into the lead at the sixteenth post, but was doing his best at the finish. BLACK RIBBON came over sharply going to the first turn, crowded back JUST REMEMBER, but dropped back through the back stretch, then came again with a belated rush while finishing in close quarters between the leaders and might have won if clear. STAROGAN opened up a good early lead, but tired suddenly as if short when challenged in the last seventy yards. TIGHT WAD was never a contender.
