PROPHETIC, away slowly, worked his way forward steadily, came to the inside for the drive and closed with a rush. PELORIA rushed into a clear lead early, gave way when challenged and tired badly in the drive. WHISKARITA made up ground. COURT tired. SAKUNTALA raced wide. Overweight? VIRBET, slow to begin, worked his way forward on the outside of the field and held on well. ROSY DOON closed with a rush. PURPLE WING made up ground. HOUSE WARMER quit. ROXANA S. quit. The latter, away well but outrun early, moved up with a rush in the stretch and was fast wearing the winner down at the end. HELIOS, unable to improve his early position and forced to lose ground when improving his position, held on well. DICK STAR, a strong factor from the start and in close, quarters early, was shuffled back approaching 5 the stretch and came again when clear. IMA GREENOCK, away fastest but unable to keep up, showed nothing. CLAREMONT sprinted into a long lead early, but quit badly after a half mile. Overweight Helios, 1 pound; Pharlera, 3.
