ALGER MEMORIAL WEIGHTS Stand Pat in Post of Honor With 126 Pounds Azucar Gets 122 Pounds; Marynell, 112. DETROIT, Mich., May 27. Stand Pat, winner of the Wolverine Handicap, Detroits opening day feature, was assigned the top weight of 125 pounds for Saturdays renewal of the Colonel Alger Memorial Handicap. Azucar, which was badly beaten in the Wolverine, comes next under 122 pounds, and Marynell will tote 112 pounds, the same weight she carried in the Wolverine. Sablin, stablemate of Stand Pat, will carry 116 pounds in the event he is shipped from Toronto to start over the mile and a sixteenth for the ,000 added prize. Tugboat Frank, Sachem and Flag Cadet, Detroit Derby eligibles, were assigned 105 pounds, 102 pounds, and 100 pounds, respectively.
