VESPASIAN DESTROYED NEW YORK, N. Y., Oct 3. The stallion Vespasian, which last spring was donated to the breeding bureau of The Jockey Club, fell over backwards and suffered a broken back when placed on display at the Piping Rock Horse Show yesterday and had to be destroyed. He had made but one season in the stud on Long Island, standing at George V. Baileys place, and had been taken to- the Locust Valley show to be shown in the stallion class.
