I LAUREL PARK TURF NOTES T , Among the horsemen attending the funeral of the late William Ashton, Sr., from 301 West Cold Spring Lane, In Baltimore, on Friday morning, were John J. Greely, William Irvine, Joe Janin and several others. John H. Stotler, trainer for Alfred G. Van-derbilt, left for Mount Clemons, Mich., for his health, and the horses of that establishment have been placed in charge of Charles Slade. It was learned that several members of the stable will be weeded out and deals are hanging fire for Tiana and several others. Thomas Rodrock, lessee of the horses that formerly raced for the late Katherine Elkins Hitt, sold Clarion Call and Golden Thoughts to Edward Coates. Royal Rank and Off and On, two horses owned by William Elder, which were campaigned at Jamaica, were unloaded at Laurel Friday. Royal Rank is listed in the Maryland Futurity to be run Saturday.
