BELSIIAZZAR, suited in the going, moved into command when called upon, drew away into a long lead and had speed in reserve. NEVER YET broke fast and showed a flash of early speed, saved ground and outlasted DAYTOXIAN in the final drive. The latter improved his position steadily on the outside and finished well. MAURICE G. was outrun in the early stages and could not menace the leaders. PLAY LINE, in nearest pursuit of the early pace, faltered badly. RED ARIL was outrun. Scratched 35090 Bred in Blue, 105. KNOWING broke alertly and was rushed into command, crossed over sharply going to the half-mile post in front of MICROPHONE and then drew away, but was kept under urging through the stretch run. GOLD MESH was outrun in the early stages, raced wide rounding the stretch turn and then finished fast. MICROPHONE reared slightly at the break, but moved up fast, was eased back at the half-mile post when KNOWING came over and then held on gamely under urging to the end. The fitter was rushed into command roundine the first turn, was rated along steadily, bore out rounding the stretch turn and then faltered at the end. STAR PORTER improved his position steadily from a slow beginning, faltered at the stretch turn and came wide, but outlasted HOOPS. He pulled up lame. HOOPS was eased back and steered to the inside rounding the first turn, saved ground thereafter and had no mishaps. SUNPORT could not menace the leaders and lost ground at the stretch turn. MERRY MAKER moved up fast on the outside when settled in the back stretch, disposed of SUPPLY HOUSE entering the stretch and drew away at the end, winning with speed in reserve. SUPPLY HOUSE broke from outside the stalls and, on the outside of the leaders in the early running, responded when called upon, but could not stall off the rush of the winner. NIGHT BUD was close up in the early running, but raced as if he did r.ot like the going. DUEL, outrun in the early stages, moved up fast, but hune badly at tWe end. JANEEN dropped back after the break and was a trailer to the stretch turn. MELODIST and SUN CAPTURE raced each other into defeat and then faltered badlv. ROSS, in close quarters in the early running, improved its position and finished with determination on the inside of BLACK MISCHIEF. DESERTER was rushed into command after the break and showed speed, but had no mishaps. VALE OF TEARS faltered badly at the end. GLASTONBURY was outrun the first part and made up ground slowly.
