VETERAN LUKE TULLEY INJURED LAUREL, Md., Oct. 17. Luke Tulley, employed on many tracks in Maryland and Florida, was reported to have suffered a broken hip while in the exercise of his duties as messenger for the mutuel department at Laurel today. Tulley, a veteran of fifty odd years on the turf, was removed to Sibley Hospital, Washington, D. C, to ascertain the exact nature of his injuries. The accident occurred when he skidded on slippery surface beneath the grandstand.
