- Cavalcade to Enter Brookmeade Farm Stud This Week LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct 17. Cavalcade will arrive at the Brookmeade Farm, near Upperville, Va., next week, to enter the stud and his fee probably will be 50, it was announced today by Hugh Fontaine, manager of Mrs. Isabel Dodge Sloanes thoroughbred nursery. A large number of brood mares already have been booked to the five-year-old son of Lancegaye and Hastily, by Hurry Oh, even before the decision as to the stud fee. Many of the prominent breeders in the country have made bookings, Fontaine said. The Brookmeade manager also stated that Good Goods had been leased to Thomas Piatt, well-known Kentucky breeder, for a period of. three years, and the five-year-old son of Neddie and Brocatclle, by Radium, soon will be shipped to Brookdale Farm here. Good Goods, a half-brother to Toro, proved himself a good race horse in his four seasons. Psychic Bid, another of the Brookmeade horses retired from racing this season, has not been placed as yet, Fontaine said, although several breeders have inquired about the son of Chance Play and Queen Herod, by Tetratema. j
