REFUSES OFFER FOR DON MOSS R. L. Stivers Enthusiastic Over Prospects for Recent Graduate From the Maiden Ranks. HOT SPRINGS, Ark., March 31 R. L. Stivers, Lexington, Ky., tobacco merchant, who is racing a stable of horses at Oaklawn Park, rejected an offer of an undisclosed amount for the brown colt Don Moss, which graduated from the maiden ranks in the second race on Tuesday afternoons program. Don Moss, a son of Don Leon Locust Moss, was bred by Stivers, and he regards the colt as an excellent prospect for development and plans to make the colt eligible for all of the principal juvenile stakes in Kentucky. The offer for the purchase of Don Moss came prior to the horses performance yesterday, but would not have become effective, if it had been accepted until following the running of the race.
