AUNT MARIE, away fast and rated close to the pace, disposed of BLAGDEN in the stretch and drew away to hold EDDIES BROTHER safe. The latter improved his position gradually while racing on the outside, came to the inside in the stretch and finished strongly. BLAGDEN, hard hustled while setting the pace, tired in the final sixteenth. MORRIS GRINER was blocked when trying to get through on the rail in the final quarter, was taken to the outside and closed with a rush. OUR PATTY began slowly and made up considerable ground. PAT C. tired after a half mile. WEELUKIE was through after five-eighths. ANTE BELLUM quit. BEIGE was lame after the race. Scratched 39570 Yankee Waters, 109; 39646 Small Change, 111. SOOTY, away fast and hard hustled from the break, set a fast pace and drew away in the final eighth to win as his rider pleased. BIT O BLACK was close up to the final three-sixteenths, where she began to weaken, but held on with gameness. PEARL TIPPED improved her position steadily and closed with good burst of speed. ACCORDIAN dropped back soon after the break, worked her way up steadily thereafter and showed a good effort. MAY SUPREME tired under vigorous handling. SCOTCH MUFF lost ground. COLOR BEARER was well up all the nay. TAPPANAUGH had speed for a half mile. JOCKANA quit badly. BUSY LUTRECIA worked her way up gradually, continued gamely under hard urging and showed a good effort. ALMA MAE, close up for a half mile, took a slight lead thereafter anil held on gamely, though tiring. CRULIA had no mishaps. IHAR. LOCH began slowly, came through on the inside, was bumped several times after reaching contention and might have been closer but for the mishaps. The latter, away to a poor start, worked his way up on the outside, was forced to race wide on the stretch turn and raced as if best. MISS RITZ improved her position gradually, came between horses in the stretch and finished gamely. CRABTREE showed a good effort under a hustling ride. PARAGUAY TEA was rushed hard to get the lead, set a swift pace for seven-eighths and quit thereafter. SPEED QUEEN tired. CHIEF EVERGREEN, close up from the start, responded gamely to strong urging in the stretch, disposed of NESSUS in the last sixteenth, but just lasted to outstay AUKAI. The latter was far back to the final quarter, made up ground steadily when straightened out and finished with a rush on the outside. NESSUS broke slowly, was rushed up to a contending position, overhauled STROLLING HOME before reaching the stretch, but faltered in the drive.
