VETERAN TRAINER ENDS LIFE LATONIA, Ky., March 31. Joseph K. Redman, 75, widely known horseman, who retired from active training of thoroughbreds several years ago, died early Wednesday morning at St Elizabeths Hospital as a result of a self-inflicted bullet wound through the head. Redman enjoyed quite a reputation as a horse trainer and for many years conditioned the string of thoroughbreds owned by Marcus Daly, Montana mining engineer. Among the horses owned and trained by Redman were John Havlin, Macey, Sarana, Countess Irma. Byrdon McClelland, Lucky Star, and Dr. Black.
